Visiting Program hosted by Hatton National Bank on 30 & 31 May 2024 – Register now!

The Asian Bankers Association (ABA) is inviting members and colleagues from banks and related financial institutions to participate in the upcoming Short-Term Visiting Program to be hosted by Hatton National Bank (HNB) on May 30 to 31, 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The primary objective of ABA’s short-term visiting program is to provide member banks the opportunity to study and undergo training on specific aspects of the operations and facilities of the more advanced host banks. The idea is to enable the visitors to: (i) enhance and upgrade their technical skills and knowledge in specific areas such as international banking, treasury activities, investment, and foreign exchange in the distinct and peculiar social, economic and business environment of the host country, and (ii) gain first-hand knowledge of the operations and work procedures of the host bank’s various line departments.

 

Tentative Agenda

Day 1: Presentations by Hatton National Bank on:

(a) Centralized Credit Operations
(b) Digital Transformation
(c) Digital Channels
(d) Cyber Risk Management

Visits to HNB’s Credit Administration Department, Centralized Operations Department, and Center of Aspiration and Contact Center.

Day 2: Visits to:
(a) Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka (CRIB)
(b) Central Bank of Sri Lanka
(c) Lanka Clear, which is Sri Lanka’s largest payments infrastructure provider.

 

Participation Fee

There is no fee for ABA members. Non-ABA members will be charged USD 200. Participants shall cover their airfare and hotel accommodation.
