The Asian Bankers Association is pleased to forward to ABA members the invitation from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (FRBSF) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to attend this year’s Asia Symposium on Banking and Finance which will focus on “Navigating the Future of Financial Regulation” to be held at 5:30-8pm PST on October 20, 2021.
Co-organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (FRBSF) and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), this virtual event will discuss financial inclusion, climate action, and global economic recovery from the ongoing pandemic.
The symposium will feature:
- A conversation with MAS Managing Director Ravi Menon and FRBSF President and CEO Mary Daly on “The Evolving Role of the Central Bank: A Look at Social Priorities, Climate Risks, and Technological Disruption”, and
- A panel discussion on “An Inclusive Recovery Enabled by Digitalization” moderated by Timothy Flacke, Executive Director of Commonwealth. Speakers include Justo A. Ortiz (Union Bank of the Philippines), Sopnendu Mohanty (MAS), Greta Bull (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), and Sam Taussig (Kabbage From American Express).
